week 1

Hmmm i am to reflect on my first week here.
let's see....
i some how got the German plague.
so i have felt like death until today.yay for that.
been getting used to the way the Germans do things and live. very different from american life which is good. i still find it a little strange here and there.
One big difference is food. i have gotten so much food at kaufland which made me want to hurl. either i cant read things right or i am being tricked by the Germans. could be anything who knows. They have no fast food here and nothing is opened 24 hours. none of this is a problem until Sunday comes and like the slow ami i am...i forget to get enough food. Sundays i have been close to eating my feet once or twice....i wont lie. Kaufland is a crazy place to shop anyway. the people are zooming by knowing where everything is while i wander the vast consumer land like a lost puppy. Its getting better though....i think.
ahhh....now the Mensa there is a treat. The food is very good aside from me having no idea what i am putting in my mouth. The only down side to it is the people. it is like a race up in there. race to get your food....race to the check out line....race to prepare your money correctly so the lunch lady doesn't give you a German stink eye. i however always get the stink eye no matter what i do. oh well i accept it. i still end up there for lunch everyday.

As for my classes....
i feel like i am in kindergarten sometimes. Lot's of games and group posters with Russian kids i don't understand. i am learning a lot but i also am learning to smile and nod a lot as well.
I haven't really gone to evening activities and such maybe because i am anti-social? Maybe it is just having the plague for the last week. i don't know maybe ill give them a go this week.
